ADC Says Atiku, Amaechi's Details Successfully Uploaded to INEC Nomination Portal
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced that it has successfully uploaded the names and particulars of its presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2027 general election to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal.
The announcement was made in a statement shared by the ADC Publicity Secretary; Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, who disclosed that the party had completed the submission of the details of its presidential candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar (GCON), and his running mate, former Rivers State Governor Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (CON).
According to the statement, the successful upload represents another milestone in the party's preparations for the 2027 general election.
"We are pleased to announce that we have successfully uploaded the names and particulars of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar (GCON), and our Vice Presidential Candidate, Rt. Hon. Chibuike R. Amaechi (CON), to the nomination portal of INEC Nigeria," the statement read.
The ADC described the development as a significant step in its efforts to present what it called a credible alternative to Nigerians ahead of the polls.
The party added that its campaign would be anchored on competence, unity, and national renewal, expressing confidence in its readiness to participate in the 2027 presidential election.
The announcement comes as political parties continue to intensify preparations and complete nomination processes ahead of the next general election, with INEC expected to oversee the submission and verification of candidates' credentials in line with the Electoral Act.
