ADSIEC Commences Collation of LG Election Results as Six Councils Submit Returns

Yola, Adamawa State— The Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission, ADSIEC, has commenced collation of results from the local government elections held across the state on Saturday, 13th June 2026.

The exercise is ongoing at the commission’s headquarters in Yola, where electoral officials are receiving and compiling results from the various local government areas.

As of the time of filing this report, six local government areas had successfully submitted their results. The councils are Gombi, Mayo-Belwa, Song, Toungo, Madagali, and Maiha.

Returning Officers from the affected local governments reported that voting was conducted peacefully. They said there were no recorded cases of ballot box snatching, electoral violence, or major disruptions during the exercise.

ADSIEC officials said collation will continue through Sunday afternoon as results from the remaining local government areas are received. The commission is expected to make official and final announcements on the outcome of the elections after all results have been verified and compiled.

Voter turnout and party performances remain unclear pending the conclusion of the collation process.
