“This House Is on Fire”: NDC Senatorial Candidate Austin Orette Tells Peter Obi to Leave Party

Owhelogbo, Delta State — Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Delta South Senatorial Candidate Dr. Austin Orette has publicly rebuked his party’s national leadership and advised NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi to “seek residence elsewhere,” warning that the party is mired in corruption and anti-democratic practices.

Orette delivered the remarks on Friday in Owhelogbo, Isoko North Local Government Area, during a press briefing titled “NDC leadership, corruption and threat to democratic process.”


“He Has Moved to a Burning House” 

The senatorial candidate said Obi should understand that the NDC is a “setup of corrupt and crooked politicians” using his name for relevance.  

“Mr. Peter Obi should be made to understand that he has moved to a burning house and he should seek residence somewhere else. The NDC is a setup of corrupt and crooked politicians who are seeking to use his name to seek relevance. He must leave before dawn. This house is on fire,” Orette said.

“Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are. Peter Obi must not allow himself to be used to give aroma to the stench that NDC is brewing,” he added.
