The 22-year-old reciter outperformed contestants from several countries, including native Arab reciters, to clinch first place, drawing widespread attention online after videos and photos of the event circulated on social media.

Honoured by Masjid Al-Haram Imams

For his outstanding performance, Sa’ad was honoured by the Chief Imam of Masjid Al-Haram, Sheikh Abdurrahman Al-Sudais, alongside Sheikh Bandar Baleela, both of whom presented him with awards and commendations at the closing ceremony in Makkah.

The Imam Nafi’u Al-Madany Foundation competition is known for attracting top Qur’an reciters globally and tests contestants on memorisation, Tajweed, and melodic recitation.
