MSSN A-Zone Chairman Felicitates Muslims on 1448AH Hijrah, Calls for Renewed Commitment to Faith and Excellence

Abuja, June 17, 2026— The Zonal Chairman of the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria, MSSN A-Zone, Malam Ado Garba Yankaji, has congratulated members of the society and the entire Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, 1448AH.

In a Hijrah message issued on Wednesday, Yankaji described the Hijrah as a profound symbol of faith, sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering trust in Allah, noting that its lessons remain relevant to Muslims across generations.

According to him, the Islamic New Year is not just the start of a new calendar cycle, but an opportunity for reflection, spiritual renewal, and recommitment to Islamic values.

“The Hijrah teaches us the importance of remaining steadfast in our principles while striving for personal growth and collective progress,” he stated.

The MSSN leader urged Muslim students and youths to use the new year as a period of renewed dedication to knowledge, righteous conduct, discipline, unity, and service to humanity. He emphasized the need for young Muslims to strengthen their devotion to Allah, uphold the teachings of Islam, and contribute positively to societal development.

Yankaji also called on the Muslim Ummah to embrace peace, cooperation, and mutual understanding, stressing that the challenges facing society require collective efforts rooted in faith and moral responsibility.

He prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the Muslim community, asking that 1448AH be filled with peace, prosperity, sound health, academic excellence, spiritual growth, and abundant opportunities.

The MSSN A-Zone Chairman further offered prayers for Nigeria, seeking divine guidance for the nation’s leaders, protection for its citizens, and steadfastness for Muslims in upholding the truth.

“May Allah make 1448AH a year of barakah and progress for the entire Ummah. May He guide our leaders, protect our country, and grant us the strength to remain firm upon the truth,” he said.

On behalf of MSSN A-Zone leadership, Yankaji wished Muslims across Nigeria and beyond a blessed and prosperous Hijrah New Year.

“Hijrah Mubarak to all Muslims,” the statement concluded.
