Only ‘Bad Losers’ Will Leave APC After Primaries, Gov Sule Warns

LAFIA, Nasarawa State— Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has vowed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will conduct transparent and democratic primaries ahead of the 2027 elections, warning that only “bad losers” would abandon the party after a fair contest.

Speaking to party members on Thursday, Sule said the APC leadership is committed to ensuring credibility, fairness, and equal opportunity for all aspirants in line with the party’s constitution and the Electoral Act.

“Nobody whatsoever will have any excuse to leave the party because we are going to have a very transparent, very democratic process,” the governor said. “So, anyone who leaves after losing is leaving because he does not know how to lose.”

His remarks are being interpreted as a warning against post-primary defections and internal divisions as political activities begin to gather momentum nationwide.

The statement comes amid growing jostling for tickets across party lines ahead of the next election cycle.
