See the amount El-Rufai Support Group Raised in Four Hours for 2027 Nomination Forms

 

The El-Rufai Support Group (ESG) Association said it raised N45,750,000 within four hours to fund the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai ahead of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) 2027 presidential primaries.

In a statement, the group described the fundraising as a “people’s project” and attributed the amount to contributions from supporters across the country. ESG said the funds would be used exclusively for the purchase of the party’s presidential nomination forms.

The association has previously announced a public crowdfunding campaign to support El-Rufai’s possible candidacy in the 2027 election. It said it would publish the final amount raised and a list of contributors for transparency and accountability.

ESG has not yet confirmed whether El-Rufai has accepted the nomination. The former governor has not made a public declaration on the 2027 presidential race.

Political activity around the 2027 election has intensified in recent weeks, with various support groups and political blocs beginning early consultations and fundraising efforts.
