Dr. Bala Bello Tinka Enters Gombe Governorship Race, Obtains ADC Nomination Forms
GOMBE— Dr. Bala Bello Tinka has formally declared his intention to contest the Gombe State governorship election after obtaining nomination forms from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The development was confirmed on Tuesday, with Tinka submitting the required documents to the party’s secretariat in Gombe.
Speaking after the submission, Tinka said his decision to run was driven by a desire to address key challenges facing the state, including youth unemployment, education, and healthcare. He urged party members to support a process focused on competence and service delivery.
“I am stepping forward to offer myself for service. Gombe needs leadership that understands the realities of our people and can translate that into practical solutions,” he said.
Party officials described the move as part of the ADC’s preparations for the upcoming governorship election in the state. The party is expected to conduct its primary process in line with the timetable set by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Further details on Tinka’s policy agenda and campaign plans are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
The Gombe governorship race is shaping up to be competitive, with several aspirants across multiple parties indicating interest in succeeding the current administration.
