2027: God Has Already Chosen Nigeria’s Next President — Adeboye Declares

REDEMPTION CITY, Nigeria —Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has said Nigeria’s next president ahead of the 2027 general elections has already been chosen by God.

Speaking during a workers’ meeting at Redemption City, Ogun State, the cleric told congregants that the outcome of the election rests ultimately on divine will rather than human effort.

“The next president has already been decided by God, who owns the universe. The will of God will be done,” Adeboye said, urging Nigerians not to be anxious about political developments as the country moves toward the 2027 polls.

While encouraging citizens to participate in the democratic process, he stressed that divine authority remains supreme in determining leadership. He called on Nigerians to remain peaceful and prayerful in the lead-up to the election.

Adeboye also addressed recent remarks by activist Omoyele Sowore, who referred to him and other clerics as “fathers of Christians in Nigeria.” The RCCG leader rejected the description, clarifying that his spiritual leadership is limited to his denomination.

He noted that national Christian representation is the responsibility of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), whose president speaks on behalf of Christians across the country.

The comments come amid increasing political realignments and public discourse as Nigeria’s landscape shifts toward the 2027 general elections.
