Youth Party Appoints Abdulrahman Abubakar Acting National Chair Ahead of June Convention

ABUJA — The National Executive Committee of the Youth Party has appointed Mr. Abdulrahman Abubakar as Acting National Chair pending the party’s National Convention slated for Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Abubakar’s appointment was announced by the NEC following the expiration of tenures of the party’s former national officers.

Abubakar is a business executive and technology-driven professional with expertise in information systems management, business analytics, and operations. He currently serves as Managing Director/CEO of McCarthy Property Limited and as a Director at Green Notes Oil & Gas Limited.

Within the Youth Party, he previously held the posts of Deputy National Organising Secretary and Acting National Treasurer. He has also served on key committees, including the Election and Disciplinary Committees, and is noted for his work with the Admin and Operations department.

Abubakar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management from Baze University, Abuja, and previously studied Management Information Systems at the University of Wollongong, Dubai. He also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy, and an MSc in Intelligence and Global Security from Baze University between 2023 and 2025.

He is known for his analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship.
