KADUNA, Nigeria — Proceedings in the case involving former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, were stalled on Tuesday at the State High Court in Kaduna after the presiding judge announced an inability to deliver a scheduled ruling on his bail application.
The judge, who is overseeing the case between the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and El-Rufai, apologized to the court, citing time constraints as the reason for the delay.
As a result, the court adjourned the hearing of the bail application to Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
The matter, which has drawn public attention, is being heard at the Kaduna State High Court. Further proceedings are expected to continue alongside related developments at the Federal High Court.
The adjournment adds to ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the former governor, with observers closely monitoring the outcome of the bail decision.
